This book was AMAZING. The "feels" the writing, the story and the cast of characters were EVERYTHING.This book centers around Ali and Drew's story. This story is full of little beautiful moments, a lot of heartache, and two people trying to fight for something even when lives circumstances would make anyone want to run and hid.
Ali is this beautiful , small "Tiny" young women. Who lost the most important thing in her life, she gets up rooted and then pretty much left on her own. Watching this girl fight for her life is breathtaking. When she was hurting it was heartbreaking, and when she was getting what she worked for and earned was amazing.
Drew, this guy was a hard one to crack. However the way the author wrote is character despite his hard, closed of personality. She molded him with such a caring, loyal and the biggest heart guy. Reading the way he was with his brothers, Ali and a few close friends made him that much more lovable.
This book is everything I look for in a 5 star read. It hits every emotion one can possibly feel. The ups and downs sometimes make my stomach drop, but the beautiful moments and the ending make my heart want to beat out of my chest.
This book was SOOOO GOOD! I #HighlyRecommend this to y'all to read! I promise you will not be disappointed. I can not wait to dive into Book 2 of this series,

I was extremely lucky to get the opportunity to read an ARC of Drops of Rain for an honest review, and I can't get the characters or the story out of my head!
Drops of Rain is a captivating story of a young girl named Ali, that has gone through a terrible tragedy, and is alone in a new town trying to figure out how to move on and live again.
Her life takes an unforeseen turn when she crashes into hot and tempting Drew one day.
Sadly, Drew is fighting his own demons every day. His one hope is to leave everything in this town and move on from all of his heartache.
Ali never expected to find Drew....
Drew never expected to find Ali....
Now the two of them have to decide if the life they had planned for themselves is the correct life after all.
Drops of Rain hit so close to home for me for so many reason, and Kathyrn beautifully wrote the hard topics in the book.
This is definitely going in my top 5 favorite books ever.
I loved Ali, and I connected with her on a deeper level...I understood her pain, and where she was coming from.
Drew was the perfect guy....he protected what was his and always kept his focus.
I LOVED THIS BOOK.
It deserves so much more than 5 stars!
Buy it and devour it, you won't regret it.
PS I fell so hard for Beau, and I am impatiently waiting for his book!!!!
I was in the mood for something on the lighter side when I picked this book up. It's not necessarily on the light end of the spectrum (poor Ali and Drew!), but it still hit the spot.
Things I liked Ali dealing with her circumstances. There's a lot going on with her. Grief, abandonment issues, being the new girl on top of everything else. Drew doesn't necessarily make it easier for her, either. He has his reasons. Totally. I get why he pushed her away and tried to keep his distance. Totally get that. Simply put, I liked Ali's strength and how she pushed herself to stay strong.
I LOVED the relationship between Drew and Beau. Brothers, man. They rocked that part. I didn't love how Beau was used against Drew, but that's another story. The two of them together made a formidable team. *thumbs up*
There were a few instances where the dialog came across as a little stilted. Enough that it threw me out of the story. I can't think of any specific examples, but I had a moment or two of "Would a high schooler REALLY say that?" Still, I enjoyed Ali and Drew's story and want to see Beau catch his special lady friend. So, there's that.

3.5 stars. Ali Rain has just moved into town for her senior year of high school. Her mother passed away recently and her father doesn't know how to grieve so Ali is on her on for the most part. Because Ali is so caught up in her own little world, she doesn't recognize that her neighbor across the street, Drew Hale, has been watching her. He even sits behind her in class and watches her practice dance.
Drew is a fantastic swimmer but he doesn't want to get too close to Ali because he never gets close to anyone besides his 2 brothers and 2 best friends. Drew is a rather guarded character. He doesn't talk much, he seldom shares anything about himself and he focuses on school and swimming. However, Drew and his brother Beau are local celebrities because of their athletic abilities and their family is an example of high society for others to envy.
While I enjoyed the depth of the characters, some parts of this story were not really believable. Both Drew and Ali are 19 year old seniors in high school and the way Ali is so oblivious to Drew's existence when this guy is basically keeping an eye on her every move just doesn't seem like something she can easily ignore. When she's face to face with Drew, she's completely captivated by everything about him so how does she not notice that he's staring at her as intensely as he does when her back is turned, given their connection?
I liked the relationship of Drew and his brothers and Ali's friendship with them, too. Drew may not have been the most approachable or nicest guy, but I never thought he was a jerk. He's got his reasons for keeping his distance but in his heart, he's genuine and sincere. Cassidy's character was a bit over the top for high school, but her character served a purpose for the drama. The relationship development between Ali and Drew was well-paced and they had definite chemistry although their first encounter seemed more awkward to me rather than instant attraction. There's also a good underlying message about sacrificing for family and standing up for oneself in the face of adversity or danger.
